Dr. Steven Farmer Bio

EXTENDED BIO:

Dr. Steven Farmer is world-renowned author, teacher, Shamanic Practitioner, and Soul Healer. He is the author of several best-selling books and other products, including Earth Magic®, Earth Magic® Oracle Cards, Animal Spirit Guides, Sacred Ceremony, Power Animal Oracle Cards, Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Cards, Power Animals, Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides guided meditation CD, Children’s Spirit Animal Cards, Children's Spirit Animal Stories CD Volumes I & II and the recently released Pocket Guide to Spirit Animals.

In addition Dr. Farmer is also a licensed psychotherapist (retired), former college professor, Reiki Master, and an ordained minister in the Circle of Sacred Earth Church. He brings a wealth of skills and experience to his writing, teaching, and spiritual healing, offering clients a unique and powerful synthesis of his many years of experience as Spiritual Psychotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner, and hypnotherapist to afford quick and effective results. In addition to workshops on Earth Magic®, shamanism, and earth-centered spirituality, Dr. Farmer offers private consultations for Shamanic Soul Healing and intuitive Earth Magic® and Power Animal readings, by phone and in person.

Dr. Farmer's education includes a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University, and a Ph.D. from Madison University. He is passionate about his work, and enjoys hobbies such as singing and songwriting, camping, hiking, kayaking, and skiing. He makes his home in Dana Point, California with his wife, Jesseca, and her two children, Serena and Arianna.

You were a successful psychotherapist for many years before you retired and shifted your focus to become a spiritual healer and teacher. How did this happen?
Your latest book is Earth Magic®. Tell us about it.
Also, your newest oracle cards, Earth Magic® Oracle Cards, based on the book of the same name, have just been released. What makes these different from your other cards, the Power Animal Oracle Cards and Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides oracle cards?
So what exactly to do you mean by “Earth Magic®?”
Shamanism and shamanic practices are an important element of Earth Magic®. . What does shamanism have to do with it? What exactly is shamanism?
How does a shaman or shamanic practitioner do their healing work?
Sometimes you refer to your work as “Soul Healing.” What does that mean?
What other books and related products do you have that are available? Tell us about these.
You’ve written extensively about animal spirit guides and their messages. Can you explain what an animal spirit guide is and how they can help us? What about other spirit guides?
